September 10 2013: ”Arbitrator: Diocese Needs $49M to Replace Massachusetts School”
The Springfield MA Catholic Diocese suffered extensive damage to its school and other facilities resulting from the devastating tornado that tore through Western MA in June 2011. When ASSIST learned the Diocese was battling its insurance company to receive the insurance payment it believed was required to rebuild, we provided before and after still and real-time imagery to support the lawsuit. The Boston Herald has reported that the diocese has won a $49M settlement (instead of $15M). We are pleased to have played a small part in this success story. July 25, 2013: ASSIST Attends MAPPS Conference
Bruce A. Seibert, ASSIST cofounder and Business Development Manager, attended the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveys (MAPPS) Conference in Rockland ME this week,where he met with Dr. Shawana Johnson, President of Global Marketing Insights, Inc., and Ed Kunz, Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc., among other members of the U.S. geospatial and remote sensing industry.
July 11, 2013: ASSIST Delivers ALO Seminar to NH Fire Academy
Rick Bartle, Director of Aviation Operations, delivered a second session of the ASSIST-U.S. Aviation Liaison Officer (ALO) seminar on July 11, 2013, at the NH Fire Academy training center in Concord, NH.The seminar was sponsored by the NH Department of Safety, Division of Fire Standards and Training & Emergency Medical Services (NHFSTEMS). More ALO courses will be scheduled this fall at both the Fire Academy and the NH Police Academy.

Effective February 21, 2013, the company’s name changed from Aerial Surveillance, Security & Intelligence Systems Technologies-U.S., LLC (dba ASSIST-U.S.) to ASSIST Aviation Solutions, LLC. With nearly three years of experience behind us since starting operations in 2010, we have narrowed our business focus to three key markets where we have substantial contracts and have identified the most significant opportunities: the marine domain, utilities and public safety. This new focus and name are driven by our success in those markets and the expansion of our capabilities and solutions beyond aerial data acquisition to include aviation project management, training and consulting.
